AOL, WB in Content Deal for Broadband Network

AOL has signed a deal with Warner Bros. Domestic Cable Distribution to form a new broadband network on AOL.com.

The network, In2TV, will allow consumers to stream full-length episodes from classic TV series like "Welcome Back Kotter" along with offering interactive features such as games, quizzes, polls, trivia contests and more. Interactive features include "Starchives" which features celebrities before they were stars, "TV Karaoke" that offers sing-alongs with favorite TV show themes and "Betcha Didn't Know!" a TV quiz.

The TV programs will be available through AOL Video on Demand and AOL Video Search and through AOL Television. AOL Video on Demand archive contains more than 18,000 licensed and originally produced assets and more than 1.5 million video assets on the Internet indexed through AOL Singingfish.

In2TV allows AOL advertisers opportunities to have banner ads, sponsorships and instream broadband advertising. One to two-minutes of commercials will be inserted per half hour.
