UK-based OB company Arena TV has taken delivery of one of two identical remote production vehicles.
Unit 7, which is operational, uses a Pro-Bel Sirius Gold 512 x 512 router, currently running at 232 x 424. It and its twin, Unit 8 due to be completed this summer, are designed with 200 monitors and 24 cameras onboard, giving them the ability to handle demanding events such as the British Grand Prix with their need to cut between 40 cameras.
Because of the size of each truck, the choice of router technology was a vital decision. Arena TV turned to Pro-Bel as the core solutions provider. Arena TV also has purchased additional Sirius and Freeway router technology from Pro-Bel and is using its Aurora router control solution.
