With its high-speed option and its new application software, the ARRISCAN film scanning solution is a pin-registered system offering 2K, 3K and 4K support, winding speed up to 2m/s, variable magnification factors, auto-focus, LED illumination and a CMOS area sensor.
With the release of Speedpack 2, the ARRISCAN is able to scan in 2K resolution at a speed of more than 8fps in digital dailies mode. In digital dailies mode, the negative is scanned with a single exposure instead of the double exposure.
Additionally, the ARRISCAN now offers a keycode-based workflow allowing users to scan camera negatives based on pull or cut lists without knowing the frame position. The keycode search is done at 2m/s.
