ATI Hits 5M Mark on Shipping HDTV Chips

published ATI Technologies has reached the 5 million mark in shipping chips for HDTV sets and set-top boxes.
According to ATI, the company has 85 percent market share with its Theater and NXT DTV reception demodulators, and a 40 percent market share with Xilleon MPEG decoders and display processors.
Companies using ATI chips in HDTVs and HD set-tops include JVC, Scientific-Atlanta, Sony, TiVo and Thomson/TTE (RCA), among others.
