Avid to roll out advancements across entire line at NAB2004

published At the NAB convention, Avid plans to deliver tighter integration, interoperability and workflow between its systems.
Developments include:
- Film and video post-production: Avid will introduce enhancements to all of the products in the Avid DNA family. The next-generation Avid DS Nitris, Media Composer Adrenaline and Avid Xpress Pro with Avid Mojo systems will offer robust new editing features, expanded networking and workflow capabilities, and increased performance, including an HD option for the Media Composer Adrenaline.
- Broadcast: The HD support will be added to the Avid NewsCutter Adrenaline FX system. A new version of the iNEWS newsroom computer also will be shown.
- Workgroups and asset management: Expanded, full-resolution media browsing, comprehensive logging and multiple site searching will be added to the Avid Unity MediaManager system.
- Audio: Digidesign will demonstrate the latest advances in audio postproduction workflow and unveil a number of new innovations to its product family, including interoperability with other Avid products.
- 3D animation: SOFTIMAGE|BEHAVIOR v.1.5, the latest version of Softimage's revolutionary crowd-simulation effects software, will be demonstrated, showcasing enhanced interoperability with the SOFTIMAGE|XSI system and improvements to rendering flexibility with mental ray.
