Axcera Provides Transmitters for NAB DTV Demo
Axcera transmitters will be used in connection with the NAB-HD digital television station at NAB2006. The company said its Axcera Innovator LX solid-state UHF ATSC DTV transmitter will be used to provide the "broadcast" signal for the LVCC private cable system. A 1.67 GHz DVB-H Axcera Innovator MV Mobile Media Base Station in the Central Hall will provide DVB-H signals for viewing on handheld mobile media devices throughout the convention center.
Richard Schwartz, director of marketing and product management for Axcera said, "For a second consecutive year, the NAB is offering a great service to attendees by making the full spectrum of HD and digital technologies visible in a single, comprehensive demonstration. The addition of mobile media content and delivery to this year's demonstration will broaden attendee interest even further. Once again, we are pleased to be chosen by NAB-HD as the RF partner and we are excited to play an integral role in this unique exhibit."
