Balin uses Canon HD Electronic Cinema lens
Filmmaker Melissa Balin chose Canon’s HJ11x4.7B KLL-SC HD-Electronic Cinematography lens to shoot her new dark comedy “Freezerburn.”
The Canon lens was used along with the Thomson Grass Valley Viper camera in FilmStream mode for selected shots and the Sony CineAlta for the remainder of the picture. (For more information about the use of Viper and CineAlta on the movie read: “Grass Valley Viper sets the stage for new film.”
The HJ11x4.7B KLL-SC zoom lens uses Canon's Power Optical System, which incorporates the X-Element, optical technology that includes Canon's High Index, Ultra Low Dispersion (Hi-UD) glass, Fluorite and special HD coatings.
