BBC Relies on Scopus Encoders for Logging
The BBC used Scopus UE-9420 dense encoders to carry high-quality video feeds from the Olympics to its London offices for logging scores and statistics.
"The BBC's choice of our encoder platform recognizes the excellent performance that our solutions provide," said David Shamir, encoder product marketing manager at Scopus Video Networks Ltd. "We take pride in our ability to meet client requirements for a demanding event such as the Olympic Games with reliable, high-quality video encoding solutions."
The MPEG-4 encoders, according to Scopus, provided the BBC the desired match of high video quality at low bit rates necessary for transmission across the intercontinental IP infrastructure.
