Bernie Munzelle dies at 80

published Bernie Munzelle, former VP of sales and marketing for Hitachi’s Broadcast and Professional Division, died Nov. 26 at age 80 from heart failure.
In the late 1970s, Munzelle joined Hitachi as a regional sales manager and advanced to the position of national sales manager, during which he was responsible for signing a project with CBS Television that led to the sale of more than 300 studio cameras from the early 1980s through the late 1990s. He was promoted in the early ’90s to the VP position and was made an officer of the company.
Munzelle is survived by his wife, Marie, daughters Tami and Bernadette, son Paul and five grandchildren.
