Brick House Video addresses lip-sync in Proteus standards converter
In addition to the audio delay/synchronization options, Proteus also features advanced motion adaptive standards conversion algorithms and support for 10-bit SDI, Composite (NTSC, PAL), Component (YUV) and Y/C formats.
At the upcoming IBC2005 conference in Amsterdam, Brick House Video’s exhibit stand display will include Proteus, a new standards converter.
Recognizing industry concerns over lip sync errors, Brick House Video has added audio delay and synchronization (up to several seconds) to the compact unit.
Key features include: advanced motion adaptive standards conversion algorithm; support for 10-bit SDI, Composite (NTSC, PAL), Component (YUV) and Y/C formats; a high-quality NTSC/PAL; full audio delay/synchronization options for AES, analog and embedded audio; video and audio processing controls; and format conversion, synchronization, TBC and audio mux/demuxing.
In addition to Proteus, Brick House Video will show the Callisto range of hybrid SDI/composite switchers at IBC, including the new portable Callisto-P, with separate analog and digital inputs, frame synchronizers and a DSK as standard features. The Callisto family is also 525/625 (NTSC/PAL) compatible.
