Brick House Video to show SDI switcher at IBC2003
Brick House Video, the Hampshire, U.K.-based manufacturer of compact switchers, announced that its VTB-2D switcher, a full-featured SDI/composite hybrid 1RU switcher, will be shown at IBC2003 (Stand 11.118).
Based upon the existing VTB-1D model, the latest VTB-2D generation switcher incorporates a number of new enhancements, such as frame-store synchronizers for asynchronous operation, and digital audio processing including slave mixes.

An 8-input switcher, the VTB-2D has program and preview SDI and composite outputs with two auxiliary outputs. Together with standard wipes and mixes, the switcher offers soft edge and variable width/color border and auto fade to black functionality, in addition to full edit system support for Sony and Grass Valley protocols.
The VTB-2DR desk-mount panel controls the VTB-2DC rack-mount unit via a single cable RS-422 and power link. The VTB-2D also offers both composite inputs and a single-layer dual-channel DSK as options.
The VTB-2D can work in stand-alone mode or from station reference, and two composite sync outputs are provided. The switcher has full GPI capability, with high-current GPI output drivers.
