NCTA Show Moves to Atlanta
Hurricane Katrina has forced the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA) to move its 2006 trade show from New Orleans to Atlanta.
Georgia World Congress Center will be the venue for The 2006 National Show, NCTA's 55tth Annual Convention and International Expo, April 9-11. The last time the association held its annual confab in Atlanta was in 1998. General registration for the event will begin in November. Exhibitors can obtain information about the event by contacting the NCTA convention headquarters at (202) 775-3606 or by sending e-mail to exhibitinfo@ncta.com.
The 2007 show is slated for May 7- 9 and will be held in Las Vegas. NCTA plans to return The National Show to New Orleans in 2008. Due to the devastation caused by recent hurricanes, the New Orleans Convention & Visitors Bureau has cancelled all shows at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center through March 31, 2006.
