NEP Supershooters, ABC Sports to Cover College, Super Bowls
NEP Supershooters will help ABC Sports HD cover college bowl games in HDTV with two of its HD-capable mobile production trucks equipped with Grass Valley digital production gear. Both trucks use the Grass Valley LDK 6000 mk II WorldCam HD cameras, XtenDD and Kalypso Duo switchers, as well as Trinix and Concerto Series routing switchers.
The 53-foot long SS-19 truck will produce the pre-game show for The Rose Bowl telecast on Jan. 4 in Pasadena, Calif.
The mobile production company will also send its SS-26 HD truck to Atlanta to cover the Peach Bowl, Dec. 30 and the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 2. The 53-foot mobile unit is equipped with 22 Grass Valley LDK 6000 mk II WorldCam HD cameras and base stations, as well as an XtenDD 35 switcher with 90 inputs. The truck is based around a Grass Valley Trinix 160x128 HD video router, a Trinix 256x256 SD router and a Concerto 256x256 analog/AES audio router.
NEP Supershooters will also use its SS26, SS20, SS18 and Silver production trucks to cover the Super Bowl XL on Feb. 5 in both SD and HD.
