Broadcast Service Denmark Orders NEC DTV Transmitters

published NEC Corporation announced the conclusion of its first contract to deliver DTV transmitters to Broadcast Service Denmark A/S. Deliveries were scheduled to start in December 2004. The Danish Broadcasting Corporation and TV 2/DANMARK will use the DTV transmitters.
The Broadcast Service Denmark order calls for NEC to deliver 19 digital terrestrial television transmitter systems ranging in power from 1.2 to 7.5 kW. All transmitters are to be equipped with the NEC DM-3000 digital exciter.
According to the NEC press release, Denmark has decided to have a full nationwide digital TV network in place before the end of 2005.
