Tascam line of FireWire audio control surfaces and interfaces are now compatible with Apple Final Cut Pro 5 and Soundtrack Pro editing software.
This upgrade means that Apple editing gear is now compatible with Mackie Control Protocol (MCP) devices, so editors can use external audio control software surfaces such as the Tascam FW-1884 or FW-1082 to edit and manipulate audio more efficiently.
The FW-1082, the newest audio controller from Tascam, has nine motorized faders for adjusting audio levels during mix playback using the revamped software. Also, the controller has four mic inputs, four lines in and S/PDIF digital in and out--all available at 96kHz.
