WLS Studio Becomes a Drive-Thru

published Disney�s ABC station in Chicago received an impromptu makeover from a 25-year-old man who drove through the front windows of the studio Sunday night.
Local newspapers reported that the drive crashed into the studio moments after WLS commenced its 10 p.m. newscast. No injuries were reported, but anchor Ravi Baichwal registered the shock of having a vehicle drive through plate glass just a few feet from where he was seated.
The Chicago Sun-Times reported that the driver, Gerald Richardson of Evanston, Ill., �wanted to be on TV.� His bond was set at $125,000.
Damages to the WLS studio were estimated at around $100,000.
