WROC-TV Receives 2008 Anna Quindlen Award

published WROC-TV, the CBS affiliate in Rochester, N.Y., received the 2008 Anna Quindlen Award from the Child Welfare League of America. The station was recognized for Excellence in Journalism on Behalf of Children and Families for a one-hour special on adoption.
WROC said the special, “Believe in the Possibilities of Adoption,” was compiled over three months by station anchor Kevin Doran, an adoptee himself. The program also received an Emmy nomination, according to WROC, a Nexstar Broadcasting station.
