Cable Lobby Exec to Exit
David Krone, executive vice president for the National Cable & Telecommunications Association will be leaving the post effective Oct. 1. Krone has been with NCTA for more than five years.
NCTA President and CEO Kyle McSlarrow issued the following statement regarding Krone's departure: "I've enjoyed with David one of the best relationships of my professional life. He's been my alter ego and has made a tremendous contribution to our advocacy on public policy. I'll be sorry to see David leave NCTA come October, but I respect his decision to want to explore new opportunities for professional growth. I'm grateful for his willingness to help us achieve a smooth transition as we now start a search for his successor. We deeply appreciate the energy and commitment that David has put into representing cable, and we wish him great success in all his future endeavors."
