The new Camera Corps Multirate SD/HD Reclocker offers a compact solution to the problem of cabling video signals around a studio or OB site by allowing serial digital video to be constructed and forwarded in stages of up to 656ft.
Operating as a digital repeater, the Reclocker overcomes distance limitations when sending high bit rate data along video cable.
The Reclocker can be used to reconstruct any SDI data sent up to 482ft at 2.97Gb/s, 754.5ft at 1.485Gb/s or 820ft at 270Mb/s; two reclocked outputs are provided. Operation is fully automatic including auto selection of any data rate from 143Mb/s to 2.97G/s.
Compliant with SMPTE-424M, SMPTE-292M and SMPTE-259M, the product incorporates a lock-detect LED. The company will introduce the Reclocker at NAB2008.
