Canon HD Lenses Go Airborne with Cineflex
Cineflex, a design and manufacturing company for airborne gyrostablized camera systems for broadcast and movie production, has developed an HD camera stabilization gimbal system using HD lenses from Canon U.S.A.
Multiple Canon IASD lenses with optical stabilization will be used in Cineflex systems in the U.S., New Zealand and other locations.
A range of Canon lenses, affixed to Sony's HDC-950 cameras, have been specified for gimbals to be used in newsgathering, motion picture and documentary production for New Zealand's Heletranz Ltd, one of Cineflex's clients. Cineflex has also finished designing a new custom gyro stabilized camera system for Robinson Helicopter Company utilizing Canon's J21ax7.8 B IASD SDTV lens
Each lens uses Canon's Digital Drive and HDxs specs system, which adjusts the lenses' operation with ergonomics and digital controls for reduced size and weight.
