CBA Elects New President
By TVTechnology
published Following the end of its annual convention, the Community Broadcasters Association (CBA) elected Greg Herman as its new president.
Herman--of WatchTV in Portland, Ore.-- follows outgoing president Warren Trumbly who worked to move the digital transition forward by meeting with FCC Chairman Michael Powell.
Issues that Herman has identified on his agenda include cable must-carry for all qualified Class A television stations; the statutory right of the conditional reopening of Class A; and prompt action of RM-1033, where Venture Technologies Group has asked the FCC to recognize network and syndicated exclusivity rights.
