CBS' Plante to MC RTNDF Dinner
CBS News White House correspondent Bill Plante will serve as master of ceremonies at the Radio and Television News Directors Foundation's First Amendment Dinner on March 11.
The black-tie event will honor the following for their work on behalf of press freedom: Sen. Charles Grassley, (R-IA); Sen. Patrick Leahy, (D-VT); NBC's Andrea Mitchell; and Entravision chairman and CEO Walter Ulloa.
Linda Douglass, chief Capitol Hill correspondent for ABC News, will present the Leonard Zeidenberg First Amendment Award to Sens. Leahy and Grassley. Patricia Diaz-Dennis, senior vice president and general counsel of SBC West, will present to Ulloa.
Tim Russert, senior vice president and Washington bureau chief of NBC News and moderator of the network's "Meet the Press," will present to chief foreign affairs correspondent Mitchell.
All four honorees will deliver remarks following their acceptance of the award.
