CBS Taps Fujitsu for HD Coverage of Inaugural Parade

published CBS News is using MPEG-4 technology from Fujitsu to cover the Presidential Inaugural Parade in HD.
CBS is contracting with DCI Teleports to provide live coverage of parade using DCI’s vehicle/van equipped with Fujitsu’s IP-9500 encoder/decoder. DCI Teleports is a Washington, D.C.-based service provider of satellite and communication links. They provide teleport and transportable satellite services to North American and international TV networks, in particular, Europe, for live coverage of news, sports and entertainment events.
CBS also used Fujitsu’s encoding technology to cover last year's conventions and Presidential debates.
