CBS Upgrades Graphics With Vizrt

published CBS News has signed a $600,000 deal with Vizrt to replace its existing graphics hardware platform with Vizrt graphics software operating on PCs.
A customer of Vizrt's since 1997, CBS News also added four additional systems and acquired its first six Viz|Trio CG systems. Viz|Trio is a real-time 2D and 3D character generator. In addition to the basic CG features, the company said it offers a feature-rich 3D design system for creation 3D graphics and animations.
The systems are used for daily CBS News programs and special events broadcast from CBS headquarters in New York City.
