CBS.com Upgrades Online Fare to 1080p
CBS Interactive, a division of CBS Corp., announced its popular HD Gallery has launched in an upgraded 1080p format on CBS.com providing users with the highest quality video available for CBS content online. Intel is the exclusive launch sponsor for this new platform.
The HD Gallery in 1080p will include a sampling of full episodes and clips of CBS content from most shows available on prime time, such as “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” “CSI: NY,” “CSI: Miami,” “NCIS,” “Survivor,” “How I Met Your Mother” and more.
“The launch of the new HD Gallery in 1080p format represents another milestone for online video and demonstrates our commitment to offer users state-of-the-art online video experiences with CBS content,” said Anthony Soohoo, senior vice president and general manager, CBS Interactive. “Now through our partnerships with industry leaders like Intel, CBS.com users are able to experience the highest quality audio and video that technology allows, without a lag or interruptions.”
As the exclusive launch partner and sole sponsor of the innovative HD Gallery in 1080p, Intel will receive prominent and immersive placement throughout the advertising campaign for the first six weeks on CBS.com. The integrated and engaging campaign utilizes site skins, display advertisements, sponsorships and a unique Intel-branded thumbnail designating 1080p-enabled video.
“Today’s launch of the 1080p HD Gallery on CBS.com coincides beautifully with our ‘Sponsors of Tomorrow’ marketing campaign, which encourages people to think about what is possible not only today, but into the future. The movement of people watching more and more video, TV and movies online has been made possible, in part, by silicon, the key ingredient in Intel’s microprocessors,” said Heather Dixon, consumer marketing director for Intel Americas. “Improving people’s online TV viewing experience with better and faster visual and sound quality is absolutely something we at Intel are proud to support.”
