CEA Releases DTV Sales Figures

published The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) has released sales figures for DTV consumer equipment indicating a major increase over 2001 purchases.
June 2002 DTV sales, including integrated sets and monitors displaying at least 420p, accounted for 169,272 units worth $294,404,457. This is an 86-percent unit sales increase over June 2001.
874,919 units worth $1,521,113,715 have been sold in all of 2002, an increase of 75 percent over the same period last year.
The CEA predicts 2.1 million units will be sold this year and 4 million in 2003.
