CEA webcast to explore link between HD, sports

CEA Market Research will hold a webcast today from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. (EST) on sports and HDTV.

The webcast will detail consumer trends and the economic outlook for sports and technology, profile HDTV owners as sports fans and examine HDTV advertising. The webcast will shed light on how sports fans use technology to follow their favorite teams as well how sports influences the timing and types of technology purchases.

CEA senior director of market research Tim Herbert will conduct the webcast.

The Consumer Electronics Association will also release new consumer research that examines HD and sports fans.
