Communications Engineering Inc. (CEI), a Newington, Va.-based systems design and integration firm, has named Phil Whitebloom as the company’s new vice president of sales and marketing. He will be responsible for overall direction and strategies of the firm’s sales operations.
“As our sales business and the team rapidly expanded, we realized we needed someone with Phil’s expertise to provide high-level strategy and coordination of our efforts,” said Lawrence Brody, CEI president and CEO. “His background in the industry and in managing very successful sales units made him the ideal choice for this position, and we’re confident that having him at CEI will allow us to provide even better support for our customers.”
Prior to joining CEI, Whitebloom held management positions for 22 years in several of Sony’s business units, and was most recently national sales manager for Sony’s Government and Education division.
