Chyron provides Spain’s TVE with new graphic look
Chyron has announced that Spain’s public service broadcaster Televisión Española (TVE) has purchased four of its Duet LEX character generators.
Each unit uses Chyron’s Lyric graphics animation software with MOS interface for TVE’s digital news operation. The installation was carried out by Chyron’s Spanish partner, Clearcom.
TVE, part of the Radio Televisión Española Group, is using two of the Duet LEXs for its 24-hour digital news channel and in its graphics department.
The Chyron Duet LEXs interface with TVE’s existing, Duet LEXs and the Chyron MOS newsroom computer system, which will provide TVE journalists with remote asset browsing, editing and playout capabilities within Avid iNews.
Using Lyric, which offers real-time 2-D and 3-D animation capability, TVE graphic artists can create the framework for other non-graphic skilled operators to populate with data, ideal for live news situations.
