Clear Channel Rolls Out Mobile HD Truck
Clear Channel HD Mobile, a division of Clear Channel Television , has launched its first mobile HD production truck to produce concerts, theater productions, TV shows and other live events.
The 32-foot straight body truck may be shorter in length than other mobile trucks but can fit into alleys that its larger counterparts cannot, the company reports. The unit is equipped with eight Sony F750 HD cameras, two POV cameras and either a Ross Video MDX-1 switcher or a Ross MDX-4 multiformat switcher. The truck is also outfitted with gear for SD events--it features an on-board, multi-track recording studio based around a Yamaha digital audio console.
Currently the truck is being used to produce comedian Tom Joyner's Sky Show around the country. The show's material is sent to Los Angeles for post-production prior to airing on Channel TV One via the Dish Network.
