CNC Selects Tektronix Gear for Video Signal Tests
China Netcom (CNC) has selected Tektronix video test and monitoring equipment to help ensure the quality of video broadcasts of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
CNC, a broadband communications and fixed-line telecommunications operator, is responsible for transmitting video signals to the International Broadcast Centre (IBC) from all the Olympic competition venues in seven cities. These video signals will then be distributed to rights-holding broadcast organizations for production and transmission to different countries and regions.
The video test infrastructure being implemented by CNC includes Tektronix PQA500 picture quality analyzers, WFM7120 waveform monitors, MTM400 MPEG-TS monitors, and an MTS430 MPEG test system.
