Commission denies review of KTFF-TV assignment
On March 2, the FCC released to the public a Memorandum Opinion and Order (MO&O) adopted last summer denying a request to review the assignment of KTFF-TV in Portville, CA, (formerly KPXF-TV) from Paxson Communications to Univision Communications.
Kimberly Mayhew, a citizen living in the viewing area of the station, requested the review of a Feb. 7, 2003, ruling granting an application to assign the station. Mayhew was represented by counsel from Washington, D.C.-based Media Access Project.
Mayhew's petition to deny the assignment "did not raise a substantial and material question of fact as to whether grant of the applications would be in the public interest," the MO&O said.
