Content Delivery Award Category Debuts at Sports Emmys
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences will award a new category of the Emmy for original programming for computers and handheld devices.
A blue ribbon panel of media professionals will judge the Emmy for Outstanding Achievement for Content for Non-Traditional Delivery Platforms, focusing on creativity in editorial content and video production.
The new Emmy will first be presented at the 27th Annual Sports Emmy Awards, May 1, 2006, and will also be awarded in 2006 during the Daytime Emmy, News and Documentary Emmy, Business and Financial Reporting Emmy presentations.
Entries for this award must be original material made-for-broadband or made-for-mobile and platforms include video blogs, Web site programs including journalistic reporting, event coverage or event analysis, mobisodes, VOD or other video delivered on an IP network.
