Custom Consoles has furnished a major media control facility and video conferencing reference room at one of the world’s largest financial institutions in the heart of London's financial district. The new facility supports the company’s training programs and international communication activities.
The company purchased two curved production desks equipped as three plus four production workstations, respectively. Each desk is fitted with multiple 19in LCD screens on Ergotron adjustable mounts. Two additional single-station desks for engineering supervisors were installed at the rear of the media control room. All the desks, with surfaces made of silver-grey Marmoleum, are designed to allow easy rear-access to electronic equipment and to ensure efficient ventilation.
A six-panel Custom Consoles monitor stack at the front of the suite incorporates Mitsubishi cubes driven by a multi-image display processor. Like the desks, the monitor stack is finished in maple tinted to match the existing decor. Adjacent floor-to-ceiling storage facilities plus an auxiliary 27RU technical equipment pod with wheels for easy repositioning were also supplied.
