Court TV will install a Sundance Digital FastBreak Automation system for the network's new Digital Master Control Facility, which is scheduled to go on-line at the New York headquarters in early 2003. Court TV broadcasts trials and stories of the criminal justice system.
Working with Court TV and outside contractors, Sundance designed a system including a redundant two-channel FastBreak system, a scaleable and frame-accurate manager of video servers and other station peripherals. The new facility will use it to play out Court TV's East and West Coast feeds, as well as integrate with a digital asset management and archive system.
Fastbreak will control three mirrored Grass Valley Profile XP servers (one ingest and two on-air), two Grass Valley 2100 master control switchers, two Chyron Duet LEXs and two Leitch Logomotions for on-air graphics, EEG encoders for V-Chip and two Evertz back-up switchers. In addition, the system will interface to an Avalon Archive management system that will be linked to an ADIC Scaler 10K robotic archive. Sundance will also interface to Court TV's existing VCI traffic system.
