Cox Purchases News Systems from Avid

published Cox Television has purchased Avid end-to-end broadcast systems for six of its 15 stations. Cox says the sale of Avid iNews, AirSPACE and NewsCutter systems will help its stations transition to an all-digital news production environment. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Cox will use Avid systems from ingest to play-out at the following stations: Fox affiliates KFOX in El Paso, Texas and KTVU in San Fransisco; NBC affiliates WJAC in Johnsontown, Pa. and WTOV in Steubenville, Ohio; KIRO (CBS) in Seattle; and WSOC (ABC) in Charlotte, N.C.
