Crawford Communications Selects SAMMA Systems for Digital Conversion
Atlanta-based Crawford Communications Inc. will use SAMMA Systems automated technology to convert its videotapes to digital files. The announcement was made jointly at an NAB2007 press conference by Jesse Crawford, Crawford Communications CEO, and Mark Gray, president of SAMMA Systems.
"Most of our clients have videotape archives; some of them are quite extensive" Crawford said. "With the new SAMMA systems, we will be able to provide conversion of U-matic and Betacam tapes with the high quality that our customers have come to expect from Crawford. We are proud to be the first video service provider to offer this innovative service."
The system uses robotic tape handling and is designed to convert videocassette recordings on an unattended basis to digital files compatible with present-day IT workflow.
