Crawford Expands Transportable Fleet
Crawford Communications Inc. has acquired the assets of Starlink Inc., an area satellite truck company located in Chattanooga, Tenn. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The purchase provides Crawford with another C-band, Ku-band and C/Ku-band hybrid to augment its existing fleet of uplink vehicles.
"When two companies with the same mindset toward providing top quality services join forces, the clients should benefit tremendously," said Paul Edwards, Crawford's vice president of transportables. "This acquisition will not only expand Crawford's coverage area, it will also bring the depth of a larger company to Starlink's customers."
Crawford now operates 14 Ku-band uplink trucks, to Ku-/production vehicles, seven C-band uplink trucks and one C/Ku-band hybrid.
Former Starlink owners, Chuck and Kathy Chappelle will be retained, as will its two vehicle operators, Ron Beasley and Tim McCormick.
