Crawford to offer tape-to-file conversion service with SAMMA system
Crawford Communications in Atlanta will become the first service provider to deploy SAMMA videotape-to-digital file conversion systems to speed up the large-scale process of turning videotapes into computer files.
In addition, the service assures top-quality video and audio through the SAMMA Analysis Engine. The multiple streams of migrated content are simultaneously encoded into open standard files, such as JPEG2000, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 or virtually any Internet streaming protocol. The new files created from archived videotapes are compatible with today's IT workflow and ready to be browsed, viewed and monetized.
Crawford Communications will provide the SAMMA videotape migration services as part of a new suite of offerings to help clients organize and access their video content.
