NBC affiliate WCYB-TV recently upgraded its equipment with Crispin automation gear.
WCYB-TV--owned by Bluestone Television--purchased seven workstations that have a dual power supply and dual mirrored hard drives. The station--serving the Tri-Cities of Tenn. and Va. (Bristol, Kingsport and Johnson City)--has two RapidPlayX workstations for playlist editing and on-air playback, two Dubber workstations for acquisition and preparation of material for automated playback, one AssetBase workstation for Web-enabled media management and, for redundancy, two EventServer/LANServer workstations.
