Belgium-based Barco is providing a 270-foot LED screen for the new Carnival Cruise Lines ship, Liberty.
The new LED screen-the type usually found in large stadiums and Times Square--will debut when Carnival Liberty launches the lines Mediterranean cruise program, which will run from July 20 through Oct. 12, 2005 and will be used to show movies, sporting events, concerts and the ships own morning show hosted by the cruise director.
Kid's movies and cartoons will also be featured while PlayStation 2 units will be connected to the system for a "larger-than-life" gaming experience.
