The Smart DA from Crystal Vision brings a new level of intelligence to SDI distribution.
In addition to producing eight reclocked outputs, this SDI distribution amplifier with signal reporting monitors video and embedded audio and provides error warnings should any problems occur.
The Smart DA is well suited for big systems requiring immediate indication of signal or transmission problems, especially in unmanned automatic playout facilities.
The status of the signal can be viewed by using the Smart DA in conjunction with Crystal Vision’s Statesman PC control software. Available status indications include input present, input standard, video black, video frozen, audio group present, audio silence, EDH missing, EDH full field error and EDH active picture error. The unit also includes latched EDH errors, allowing engineers to check for any errors during a period of time.
