CSTV Networks kicks off mobile service
CBS-owned CSTV Networks last week launched CSTV 2 Go, which connects college sports fans to their favorite teams via their mobile devices.
The multiplatform CSTV initiative will rely upon VeriSign to provide a scalable infrastructure to deliver media applications 24 hours a day to sports fans on the go nationwide.
Using VeriSign Mobile Delivery Services and VeriSign Intelligent Portal Services, the first phase of CSTV’s mobile offerings include customized team news alerts via Short Message Service (SMS), as well as the opportunity to purchase custom ringtones and wallpapers for about 100 colleges and universities.
