CTIA Wireless 2008 marketing conference to address mobile Internet, search capabilities as key growth areas
The Marketing — Mobile Channel Conference, taking place on Monday, March 31, at the CTIA Wireless 2008 show, will tackle the issues surrounding mobile Internet adoption and search.
Among the topics to be discussed at the conference are marketing applications currently available via mobile devices, new ways of implementing or enhancing mobile marketing strategies and how companies are taking advantage of new opportunities to engage customers through the mobile medium.
Cary Tilds, senior VP of Team Detroit, will deliver the keynote address, focusing on the emergence of the mobile Internet, how it will affect consumer behavior and what that means for brands, agencies and consumers.
Sessions on tap for the conference include “Rock the Vote: Winning the White House with Wireless,” exploring how mobile messaging and social networking have impacted election campaigns; “Ties that Bind, Linking Traditional Media Channels and Mobile,” a look at some of the most innovative and highly effective mobile marketing campaigns; “The Power of Viral Marketing,” which will explore new ways of using customer testimonials to drive consumer adoption of products and services in the mobile age; and “Managing the Sale of Mobile Content,” which examines the essential components of selling content most critical to sustainability; among other sessions.
