John Eck, president of the NBC TV Network and Media Works, has announced that Darren Feher, who has been serving as the executive vice president and chief technology officer at NBC Universal, will be in charge of creating a new media technology organization for the company.
In this new role, Feher will concentrate on digital product innovation and emerging technologies. Plans are being made for him to add new engineering and technology teams to work in areas of digital asset management, content distribution, production and commercial planning within the company.
In making the announcement, Eck said that Feher had been an integral player in transforming NBC Universal from an analog entity to a digital media company.
