Denver Tower Hearings Reopened
The hearings that allowed Denver stations to construct a DTV facility on Lookout Mountain over the objections of the homeowners' groups in the area must be reopened, according to an article Saturday on rockmountainnews.com. The article, Reopen TV tower hearings, judge rules, said "Judge R. Brooke Jackson decided that some of the information presented by Lake Cedar Group was filed too late for opponents of the proposal to respond." Lake Cedar Group consists of Denver area TV stations KCNC, KMGH, KUSA and KTVD.
The article said details were limited, but issues the judge wants resolved include information relating to "radio frequency emissions, the suitability of alternative sites, and the adequacy of setbacks to ensure safety in the event of guy wire failure of a fall due to ice."
