DG Systems selects Vela's CineView decoder for new DG Spot Box
Vela’s broadcast quality MPEG-2 decoder, the CineView Pro XLe, will now be offered by DG Systems to customers as part of the new DG Spot Box service to enhance its video delivery services.
The DG Spot Box provides advertisers and broadcasters with the industry's first and only triple redundant distribution system for video, according to both companies. Vela offers a complete range of standard and high-definition broadcast and professional-quality MPEG board level video encoders and decoders.
Vela's frame-accurate CineView Pro XLe includes such advanced technology features such as digital video output, embedded audio within the SDI output stream, full control of audio and video levels, SMPTE time code output, Dolby Digital audio decoding and genlock support.
The CineView Pro XLe is designed for all Pentium class PCs with a PCI bus. Developer tools include a powerful 32-bit Windows COM Software Developer's Kit, sample MPEG player application and sample MPEG-2 video clips. A Linux API and device drivers are also available. The CineView Pro XLe is also available with an intuitive software GUI, including the PlayAdvantage module from Vela's MediaAdvantage Lite software suite.
