Digital Signage Expo: AGNPro Intros New 1080p Player
AGN Professional plans to launch its next-gen HD solid-state media player, the miniBox HD700-S Solo Edition, at Digital Signage Expo in Las Vegas this week (Feb. 27-28) in Booth 151. The new miniBox is designed to deliver 1080p video with a simplified plug-and-play function.
Again designed with what AGNPro said are “out of the box” features, the miniBox HD700-S allows users to update content using a removable CompactFlash card to auto-loop, or to schedule, specific content playback. An internal browser-based interface is employed for device configuration and for networked uploads of content and playlists over a local or wide area network (WAN).
A growing number of digital signage platforms are deploying HD video (a trend that also will be highlighted at the NAB Show in April). The Flash card deployment means its solid state—with no hard discs or the necessity for cooling fans. The next-gen miniBox will deliver 1080p via HDMI, DVI, Analog RGB (VGA) or component video outputs.
