SeaChange is using the DNF Controls 3040P-L playlist playout controller for its MediaClient SDI decoder.
The controller provides jog, shuttle and playback control of the decoder. The two companies have integrated technologies to demo the MediaClient MPEG-2/DV-based video codecs at conferences in Europe and Asia.
Introduced in September, the MediaClient codecs support recording, playing and workflow in TV broadcast facilities and are format and file type agnostic.
The four-channel playout controller is comprised of the DNF ST400 controller with playlist playout software and controls one playlist per channel on up to five channels. The controller also features one source VTR channel.
