'Early Show' adds 103in HD canvas for over-the-shoulder graphics
By TVTechnology
published CBS News' "The Early Show," the network's morning news and talk show, has integrated a 103in full HD professional plasma display into its news studio.
The Panasonic display, which debuted on the news show Jan. 8, is spotlighted in the newsreader position where the anchor conducts news blocks.
The large size of the display is used to present "what used to be called the over-the-shoulder graphic," said Phil Selby, technical director for the show.
The TH-103PF9UK has an effective display area of about 89in by 50in, the equivalent of four 50in Panasonic plasma displays.
